2026年1月6日 今日、久しぶりにしたことないものについて考えていた。 何かを書く。自分の思いを記す。しかし、本当に自分の思いだといえる？ もちろん自分で書きたいものは山ほどある。しばらく思い出そうとすると、この前の10ヶ月は日本に住んでいた。俺が大学のころから憧れた日本で初めての長い滞在だった。 スイスから出て成田空港に到着する前に、何を期待していたか、たぶん覚えてるかな。 素晴らしい旅が。日本の全国を訪ねてできる限り地方を見に行く予定。友達と再会して、それからまだ知らない良い人と会うかもしれない。 まず、今まで経験した旅行の作文を生き生き書き記す前に悩みについて話したい。 最近もその考えが浮かんでいた。 日本語で何かを書く。だが、写真や旅行日記を投稿することではない。 本当に何を考えているのを記す。 先月、N１という日本語の試験を受けてみた。もともと余裕でやってた俺が、試験日に調子が悪くなって、リスニングの部分をしたときに集中力が非常になくなった。準備が足りなかったせいか、一日中に沖縄から東京まで旅行していたせいか、どれもこの失敗の理由だったと試験の後に考えることしかできなかった。でもまた試験を受ければ、次回はもっと準備できると思ってちょっと安心した。 それから、昨日漢検4級の練習をやりながらまたそんな考えが浮かんだ。 日本語である日記書くための自信がないという事実に囚われている。 ほぼ10年間ぐらい日本語を勉強していた。その長い期間は、自分自身の影を想像すると変わっている。大学を卒業してから、未来のことを曖昧に考えていた。確かに知識とか好きなものを勉強したけど、まだ本当にしたいことは知らなかった。だから、仕事を探してホテルで働き始めた。 色んな国に行き、海外の生活を味わい、経験を積み、場所を訪ね、人と出会った。 ワーホリというビザを取る前に、ずっと冒険みたいな生活をやってきた。 つまり、日本に来ると期待とか別に旅行の予定はどうなってもよいと思った。 だけど、まだ日本語を使うのはためらいがある。毎日日本語で話す機会が何度もあっていながら。日本語で興味深い話をたくさん読んできて。自分から日本語で話してみるという自信がついていて。 特に今、キーボードでその日記を作成する。筆をで書けば、これほど単語や漢字を書くのがこれほどそんなには簡単にならない。 今日から、新しい戦いが始まった気がする。大げさに言っているそうだけど、執筆を目指したい。たとえ平凡な作文を作ることになってしまっても、何もしないこと失敗になる。
