    I remember when I studied in elementary school, my teachers always made us write each character about ten times. This method actually works. I think all the Chinese people practice this way.

    you can say "最近", this is very common, it means recently, too. for example: 我最近没打电话给他。 I didn't call him lately.

    一定要 is very very strong. 必须 is strong too, but not as strong as 一定要. 一定要 usage example: 我很担心我儿子，他不见了，请你一定要找到他 I'm so worry about my son, he is missing. you must find him, please. 必须 usage example: 这位先生，如果你要搭飞机，你必须先买机票 Sir, if you want to get on the airplane, you have to buy a ticket first.
