Hi! My name is August Rex, I am a musician in Sweden. I am 36 years old and I have played music for about 22 years. I have played classical guitar, electric guitar, doubble bass in orchestras, Swedish folk music, punk, metal, Swedish chansons/singersongwriter, Latin American style guitar music. Mainly I am a guitarist, but I also play piano, bass, mandolin, ukulele and I sing my own songs. I am an educated music teacher and teach guitar. The music I play live is almost entirely my own. I am very interested in languages. My native tongue is Swedish. I am fluent in English on a normal conversation level. I know some beginner basics in Croatian. And now I have become interested in European Portuguese. I have never been to Portugal but it would be amazing to come there and listen to the fado music that I really like. About the languages I know: Swedish: My mother tongue. English: Been studying it in school from age 10. German: Studied it in school in 7th grade. I don´t speak it but I understand 30%. Norwegian: I understand 95% of what they say but I speak to them in Swedish. Danish: Difficult to understand but is much easier to read. I prefer English with Danes. Croatian: I know some of the basics. Portuguese: Am a new beginner and is here on italki to learn it.
