My little sister is the youngest of the family, but also the spolied of the house. She can do almost whatever she wants, because my parents don't chew her out severely when she deserves. She already knows that she can get away anytime, that's why she loves hassling his older brother. However my bother knows how to stop her tricks, he just tell her that she is not actually our sister but she was an abandoned baby who was dumped at the front of our door by her real paents... that trick never fails.

She had caught a cold and lay on a bed for several days. Finally, she got back on her feet from her bed.

It was a sunny day. Hearing that our local amusement park had reopened after renovations, we were excited to go. Our enthusiasm quickly faded, though. After what felt like endless loops around the parking lot, Mom still couldn't find a single space. Inside, the crowds were overwhelming. Frustrated, we abandoned our plans and drove to MeeMaw's for a culinary outing downtown — a specialty of my mom's. She eventually chose a restaurant known for its shark fin soup, which was doing a promotion. I'm aware of the environmental concerns, but it's a traditional and well-known dish here. It makes me wonder how our ancestors ever thought to eat fins. It's like they said, “Let’s cut off their fins for dinner and dump the fish back into the ocean. Then we’ll just hope they grow back in time for tomorrow’s meal — there goes applause.” It's unbelievable. Technically I just had a bony dinner. Despite the amusement park thing, we enjoyed the day.

During her routine night walk my Mom bought a bunch of cilantro for one yuan (US$0.14) and half dozen of lettuces for 1.4 yuan (US$0.19) . She bought them from a vegetable street stall at the outskirt area of our community and of which owners is an old couple. The old couple rents one third of a community grocery but to catch more flow of customers and to increase the income, they used to set up the vegetable stall in front of the grocery... "...staffs quite cheap. " my Mom praised as she arranged the cilantro and lettuces in the kitchen. That is true. Over the past year of 2024 it seems that things have become even cheaper... Another thing that impresses me is that the old couple usually keeps the vegetables stall from some 7:00 am in the morning to 11:00 pm in the evening. Under the economic downturn, it seems that they have to prolong their business hours to try to obtain more deals... Then I thought about my aunt. After leaving the big city, she now live at my hometown, a remote coastal town where she makes her living by doing handicrafts. She also starts working at 7:00 am and will work long hours till some 21:30 pm at a toy workshop... In a place where there is shortage of industries and employment, that seems the best job she could get... So with economic slump, it seems things are not easy in the recent years... In spite of the difficulties, people manage to cope with these and keep float.

My level is B2 wanting to reach C2. Looking for casual conversation, and talk in topics that interest me, during the conversation i want to be corrected for my grammar and pronunciation mistakes regardless of how many they are, i want to try this method instead of waiting for the end of the class and be corrected when i already forgot about them. Sometimes I will also prepare some questions in advance. I enjoy the sound of english language I want to learn and speak fancy advanced vocabulary and mix them and use them with my simple clear vocabulary in my casual conversation settings. I also tend to mess up with verb tenses for some reason although I’ve studied them many times ! I mess up using them when having conversation. So maybe some insight or new methods can help me with that.

A young woman returns to her home by walking at night after a long work day. While she is walking, she thinks of her cat and cannot wait to hug it. During her childhood she didn't like pets, but after her moving abroad, she saw how somebody went to dump a little cat in a dark and durty street, so she couldn't stand it and she steped in. Now she is happy because her cattie keeps her company as she doesn't get to used to loneliness.
