Hi! I've recently come across the phrase "for all (someone) cares" and GPT told me it's a fixed English idiom. Is that right? I know it's not meant literally. I've often heard it in TV shows and movies, but I never thought about it grammatically. I find its capability of producing an ironic meaning is interesting! We always say that a warm family can be a harbour for every child to get a rest when they feels tired. Meanwhile, some children can't wait to leave their home after they grow up, because they have suffered from the stress and indifference from parents for 18 years. W ealso say that we don't want others to get wet in a rain, because we has once got wet in rains. So, as a parent, your choice of where you lead your family to go deeply affects your children's metal health and future. Will you be strict like a principal at home or kind like a good friend to your children? Will you help your children to overcome the hardships in their life together? Someone might say that they are working hard to make enough money for their children, why their children became problem children? The good news of getting the offer I wanted could not have made me feel more excited and exhilarated. When I reminisced the scene I got the the English interview never experienced before. Anyway I tried my best to display my advantages catering to the offer demands. Maybe because of that they give me this good offer I am satisfied with so much.
