Must, Have To, Needn't and Don't Have To | Real British English #032
說明
In many languages, the negative of "must" simply means "it isn't necessary". In English it does not. "You mustn't come" means "don't come, it's not allowed", while "You don't have to come" means "you can come if you like, but it's not necessary".
In this episode:
• Must: your own feelings and rules
• Have to and have got to: outside obligations
• Mustn't vs don't have to
• Needn't, a typically british form
• Advice: should, ought to, had better, and a scene
• Practice
• Self-check questions with answers
