說明
Some Malayalam proverbs exist almost word for word in English, Arabic, Chinese and Latin, and they got there by travelling. Ten more sayings, some purely Kerala, some shared with the world. The Kerala ones include the bull that gave birth (acting on absurd news) and the person pretending to sleep. The shared ones include belling the cat, crocodile tears, oil on the fire and clapping with one hand. The most Kerala of all is dissolving asafoetida in the sea.
