おはようございます。日本語だんだんポットキャストのゆかりです。

今日は信号(しんごう)のはなしです。

日本にも、世界にも、どこにでも信号はありますね。

青(あお)は、すすんでいい。

赤(あか)はとまらないといけないですね。

ところで、信号の色は何色ですか？

日本の信号は、

赤、青、黄色(きいろ)です。

えっ、でも信号の色って、

青じゃなくて、みどりじゃない？

日本に来たことがある人は、そう思うかもしれません。

いいところに、気がつきましたね。

たしかに、色はみどりなんですが、

私たちは、赤、青、黄色といいます。

これは、いろいろな理由(りゆう)があるのですが、
昔(むかし)は、青色のことを緑色といっていたから、だそうです。

ほかにも、緑色だけど、"青"ということはあります。

たとえば、緑色のりんごは、
"青りんご"といいます。

"青々(あおあおとした)葉っぱ"

"青汁を飲む"

なども、そうですね。

みなさんの、国の信号の色はなんですか？

日本とおなじで、赤、青、黄色ですか？
