Written Exercise 20－Happy Winter Solstice ！（冬至快乐！） Today is Winter Solstice. Some Chinese (people) take this day very seriously. Family members all gather together and have a big dinner. One family member will make special dessert dumplings called "tangyuan" for everyone to eat together. "Tangyuan" sounds like "tuanyuan", which means "reunion". Therefore, tangyuan symbolizes union and the family all coming together. On the day of Winter Solstice, the hostess is extremely busy cooking a sumptuous dinner for the family.
