Do the following two sentences sound unnatural?
①She had a complex about her English because her family sometimes made fun of her English.
②She felt inferior because her family sometimes made fun of her English.

#2 sounds better then #1. You could edit #1 to say something like this: She had a complex because her family sometimes made fun of her English OR She had a complex about her English because her family sometimes made fun of her. (No need to use the word 'English' twice. It's redundant.) Hope this helps :)
