🇳🇴 Hei hei! 🇳🇴 Im Torkil, a native Norwegian living in Trondheim. Thank you for visiting my profile! I can help you practice Norwegian with personalised classes based on your needs and how you like to practice languages! In 2023 I quit my job to travel for a while, and I kept travelling for a couple years. My perspective on so many things changed and I discovered how much fun it is to learn languages and connect with locals. I love being surrounded by trees or mountains, and I often go to paint a landscape or in the forest. I speak English fluently and can have basic conversations in Spanish, Mandarin, and Japanese. I am patient, structured and creative, and I will try to make the lessons as fun and practical as I can for you! For conversation practice classes I will encourage you to talk about everyday life and topics you like, and I will adjust my speaking speed to your level. Dont be afraid of making mistakes, its a natural part of learning anything. 🌱 Beginner classes 🌱 If you are learning Norwegian for the first time I can help you get started! We will follow a structured plan with all the basic grammar and words you need. I will teach and show you how they are used in everyday life in a way that works for you. 🪴 Intermediate & Advanced classes 🪴 We can focus on everyday conversations in Norwegian and how to express ideas naturally with correct pronunciation. I had a great first lesson with Torkil! He is patient, attentive, and able to create an environment where I feel comfortable to make mistakes and expressing myself better in Norwegian. He helped me articulate things in a more natural way. He is also well-strucutured, and I appreciate the way he identified my areas for improvement and took some notes to help me learn.

Torkil is an amazing teacher. He explains things clearly, with plenty of examples and insight into real spoken Norwegian. He's also very patient with all my questions at the beginning of every lesson :) Highly recommended!
