Do you keep a common place book?
Common place books are where you record and store quotes, lines, and media from the outside world (books, movies, posters, etc) and write them down with a short note or thought about them.
Common place books are not about our thoughts or notes (they are not journals), but about the media and information itself. Others' brilliant minds.
My favorites are from the book Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu translated by John H. McDonald.
"Nature uses few words.
When the gale blows, it will not last long;
when it rains hard, it lasts but a little while;
what causes these things to happen?
Heaven and Earth.
Why do we humans go on endlessly about little,
when nature does so much in so little time?"
Note:
Our behaviors are self defeating.
⭐ Recently I have read "We" by Yevengy Zamyatin, a dystopian fictional classic written in 1920 during the Russian Civil War but published in English 4 years later.
My first recording:
"Whenever you tell a story to children, even at the very end, they will always still want to know:
what happens next?"
Note:
Happiness isn't the final destination. The natural universe has no finality. A revolution is not finality, but it is necessary.
I can't wait to add in lines from the current book I'm reading "The Right to Oblivion" by Lowry Pressly.

“Dast-e shomā dard nakonad” is a polite Persian expression used to thank someone for their effort or hard work. It literally means “May your hand not hurt,” but it is actually a way of saying “Thank you for your effort.”
A: I made this cake for you.
B: دست شما درد نکند! خیلی خوشمزه است.
A: I made this cake for you.
B: Thank you so much! It’s delicious
