when I take a long break (about days or weeks) I come back to studying German more actively. I find long breaks are useful for memory. I take just short time (about 10m) to memorize a conversation rather than 30 minutes if I didn't take a long break.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing with reference to your announcement that is posted on your hotel’s website about a summer job as a receptionist. I found myself fit enough for this position. The reason why I would like to apply for this job is that I am studying hotel management and as part of the course we have to gain some experience working in a hotel. In this letter I will try to explain why I will be suited for the job and what I am hoping to learn from it. I have been studying hotel management for three years now. I have completed several courses on how to attend to customers and how to deal with difficult types of people. During these courses I received positive feedback about my communication skills. I also suppose that I have some personal characteristics that are required from a receptionist. I have drive, ambition, I am a self-starter and good at working in a team. Last summer I worked as a sales assistant at the supermarket and this experience taught me the value of being attentive to customers’ needs and preferences. I hope that working in your hotel will teach me a lot. I need to develop my understanding of hotel management and gain some insight into the process. The weather was nice today. After my jog, I quickly rushed home to examine the items I collected from the park. I had planned to study chlorophyll, leaf pores, and film germs in pond water. However, peeling the skin off a leaf proved to be more challenging than I expected. The section I managed to remove was too thick to focus on and didn't yield the desired results. On the other hand, the pond water was a fascinating sight, filled with a thriving colony of microorganisms. It was captivating to observe the strange movements of these tiny creatures. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience with my new microscope.

Today, I taught. English for my son and his friends. They said that it was easy to understand what I taught. I am so happy they liked my lesson.
