Reading practice: Around 100 film projects were submitted to the Impact Days program at the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights, but only 12 were selected. One of them is Children of Honey, a documentary about Tanzania’s Hadzabe people and their fight to preserve their language. The Hadzabe are one of the world’s oldest hunter-gatherer tribes, struggling between keeping their traditions and adapting to modern life. Co-director Jigar Ganatra explained that the Hadza want the world to hear their story and to change how they are portrayed. At the festival, filmmakers present their work to funders and organizations interested in the issues in their films. Impact producer Simona Nickmanova said the team is working closely with the Hadza to support grassroots efforts to protect their language and habitat. All selected filmmakers share a common goal: to use film as a tool for social change.

It was sunny today. Since it was Dad’s first day at the gym, Mom had asked me to look after him. I explained how to use the treadmills and the access control system. As I expected, he didn’t last long on the treadmill. I usually go for sets of a quarter-hour at five miles per hour, but that seemed too challenging for him. He had to start easy first. March 17, 2025 Do you know Banh Mi ? It’s a sandwich from Vietnam that vegetable and meat are put in stick-bread. I went to a restaurant near my workplace for lunch and ordered it. It was so good and more than I expected. The baked bread was crunch outside, but inside is chewy. Meat tasted good and it had some coriander. I highly recommend you eat it!
