Hi! This Monday, I was so sleepy. I fell asleep in my bed when I got home. I forgot to keep on the heater. Next morning, I felt uncomfortable in my throat. At the time, I thought it is no problem so, I went to school. But it was not feeling well. As soon as I arrived home, I majored my temperature. My temperature was 37.8 degrees. I was shocking. So, I quickly changed my warming clothes and took a medicine. Next, I had to make a dinner. I want to not make it long time, I searched recipes that can make easily menu. I made Samgyetang soup with rice cooker. Samgyetang soup is a Korean food that includes a lot of ginger. The aroma of the chicken and the strong, medicinal ginger quickly filled the kitchen. Sipping that piping hot, savory broth was incredibly comforting; it felt like medicine, warmth, and dinner all in one bowl, finally chasing away the chill that had settled deep in my bones. After dinner, I watched a movie in my bed. Recently, I had no time to watch a movie so, I was a little happy that I could watch it. Now, I am just praying for getting better.

Why Is It Difficult to Speak English Even When You Understand It? Many learners face the same challenge: they understand English well when reading or listening, but struggle to speak. This is not unusual — and it has clear explanations. First, listening and reading are receptive skills, while speaking is a productive skill. Understanding requires recognition; speaking requires retrieval, sentence construction, pronunciation, and real-time response. This creates a much higher cognitive load. Second, language anxiety plays a significant role. Fear of making mistakes or being judged often blocks spontaneous speech, even when linguistic knowledge is sufficient. Third, fluency depends on automatization. If learners rarely practice speaking, their knowledge remains theoretical rather than operational. Exposure alone does not develop spontaneous production. Finally, many learners rely on mental translation, which slows speech and increases pressure. How can this be changed? Through consistent, structured speaking practice, the use of common language chunks, and acceptance of errors as a natural part of development. Understanding a language is knowledge. Speaking it is a trained skill.
