My favorite season is autumn. I hate summer and winter it is uncomfortable for me to live.There are many reasons. First, the weather is very comfortable. It is not too hot and too cold, so I can enjoy going outside. Also, different from summer, I can wear many different kinds of clothes in autumn. I like choosing clothes for the season. Second, I like Halloween. I enjoy seeing Halloween and products in stores. Third Autumn also has many delicious fruits, such as persimmon grapes, and pears. I especially like eating fruits. Fourth I love baseball, so autumn is a very exciting season for me. I can watch the postseason games. My favorite baseball team is the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. This year, my favorite team made it to the postseason. I am very happy about that. I really hope they win the championship. For these reasons, autumn is my favorite season. I look forward to autumn every year.

Today, I am going to a ramen shop near my house with my friend. The shop opened recently, and I have wanted to go there for a long time. I am really excited to try it today. Miso ramen is famous at this shop. I like miso ramen very much, so I think I will enjoy it. I hope the ramen is delicious. I also want to see what the shop looks like inside. After eating ramen, we are going to a coffee shop. I want to drink coffee and eat dessert there. I like desserts at coffee shops. My favorite desserts are chocolate cake and pudding. I am not sure what I will order today, but both sound good. I want to relax and talk with my friend while we enjoy our coffee and dessert. It will be a nice way to spend the evening. Tomorrow, I have my first class at university, so I need to get up early. I do not want to be sleepy in class. I will try to go to bed early tonight. I hope I can have a fun evening and still get enough sleep.

Hello. Today, I will talk about my week. First, on Saturday, I stayed at my friend’s house. My friend lives in Saitama. My friend made dinner for me. We ate oyakodon. It was so delicious, and I was happy. On Sunday, I was going to go to a phone shop to get a my new phone. But my new phone was not there yet. So, I had no plans that day. On Monday, I went to interview for a new part-time job. I passed the interview, so I was very happy. Yesterday and today, I played with the same friends. Yesterday, we ate monjayaki. Today, we ate malatang. Both were very delicious. I had a very good time with my friends. Tomorrow, I will go to karaoke with my friend. I want to sing a lot. I moved to a new place recently, and I have not started my new part-time job yet. So, I want to have fun with my friends this week and next week. From November, I want to work a lot.

Hello! English tutor Alice here. Here's some information about me. I'd love to know more about you. I have lived in the US my entire life and I've never been overseas. What country do you live in? Have you ever been over seas? I have been to Canada but not since the mid 1990's. I have been to multiple states here in the US. Here's a few of them that I have visited. Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Indiana and California. Some may wonder... Alice... Why have you not traveled overseas before? Well the answer is simple. Actually I have a few answers for this. First of all... the United States is massive. Depending on where you live in a state, it could take anywhere from a few moments to a few hours to just get to the state next to yours. And traveling across country can for some Americans feel worlds different. Cost of traveling. The cost to travel overseas is quite expensive. And the flights last many hours, much longer than a domestic US flight. Many of those flights are what we call 'Red Eye' flights....where the flight is during our over night hours. Which maybe stressful to some. The fastest flight from my hometown airport in Kentucky to London's Heathrow airport is 7 hours and 40 minutes. The fastest flight from my hometown airport in Kentucky to Los Angeles LAX airport is around 5 hours. Some people, like myself do not like flying. I find it incredibly stressful. I have flown a few times before within the US but it's something I get a lot of anxiety about. Plus also factor in the cost of lodging and food when traveling. Cost of transportation when landing. I think for some international students the massive size of the US and the distance between major cities that one would visit is something that is hard to realize. Did you know...even with living in the US my entire life... I have never been to Seattle, Washington DC, New York City, Chicago, Dallas or New Orleans. That's just some major cities that I've never been to.
