Official three days off for which I needed to congratulate/meet my friends and relatives, and work. Mission accomplished. I discuss Defender of the Fatherland Day with my students every year, as useful information for today’s letter-post I will remind you that February 21 was International Mother Language Day. It's time to talk about tutors and teachers. Native speakers shape the language, and their role as community tutors is significant. I personally enjoy taking lessons with tutors when I need to refresh my language skills and converse with someone. If I'm unfamiliar with the language and it belongs to a group of languages that I don't know much about, I need a professional teacher's assistance to understand the structure, quickly achieve a basic level, and improve my pronunciation. Tutors are great for practicing speaking; teachers are best for understanding the language structure, pronunciation, exam preparation, and more. Sometimes students who are studying to teach Russian practice as tutors. You can be their guinea pigs, help people understand if this is their calling, get cheaper lessons, but not all lessons will be smooth. But there is a small difference between future teachers and people who have never studied how to teach a language, but for some reason took textbooks to teach.
