Hallo! I’m Alexia, a native Dutch/Flemish speaker from Belgium, now sharing my love for languages in Leipzig. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me practicing yoga, playing Irish folk tunes on my recorder, or exploring nature. My multilingual journey and passion for mindful living inspire me to create lessons that are as enriching as they are practical. Let’s make language feel like a joyful adventure, gezellig and stress-free! I only use Zoom for half-hour lessons. For longer lessons, please choose Italki Classroom or Google Meet. I have no experience teaching children. For lessons with children and young teenagers (until 16 years old), I recommend booking lessons with someone else :)

As a lifelong language learner myself, I understand the joys and frustrations that come with the process. I’m patient, supportive, and genuinely interested in helping you grow. My goal is to create a calm and safe environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Having lived and travelled in different countries, I know how powerful language can be to connect, belong, and express yourself.

Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, build vocabulary, or gain more confidence in real-life situations, I’ll guide you with clear explanations and natural, everyday language. I use visual prompts, games, and short texts to make learning engaging. I speak several languages (French, German, Spanish, Swedish), which can be an advantage, especially if you're just starting out and need occasional support in your native tongue.

Alexia me preguntó muchas cosas y pude responder fácilmente a sus preguntas con su ayuda cuando no encontraba las palabras correctas. Me dió un feedback muy bueno, con las palabras nuevas y me recomendó materiales audiovisuales para practicar holandés durante la semana. Fue una clase excelente y siento que mi holandés definitivamente está mejorando con ayuda de Alexia.
