Forgot to post this one from a student who needed 7 in speaking. We: 1) Did lots of speaking practice with feedback 2) Added some idiomatic language to the student's vocabulary 3) Cleaned up some common grammar mistakes 4) Added some complex grammar structures. Simple as that 👌

Today’s Japanese Tip 🇯🇵 In English, you might say “I love it!” when you like someone’s outfit. But in Japanese, we usually don’t say whether we love it. We simply compliment the item itself: ✨すてきですね！ (suteki desu ne!) — “That’s lovely!” 💖かわいい！ (kawaii!) — “So cute!” 🆒かっこいい！ (kakkoii!) — “Cool!” 😍にあってる！ (niatteru!) — “It suits you!” Why don’t Japanese people say “I love it”? Because in Japanese, the compliment already includes that feeling. You don’t have to explain your reaction — it’s understood. So even though Japanese is said to be indirect, sometimes the meaning is simply shared without extra words. A small phrase can carry a lot.
