Do you understand English better than you speak it? If so, you're not alone. One of the most common frustrations of even the most advanced English students is that they understand what they read and hear, but struggle to express themselves in spoken exchanges. Why? The answer is simple: language learners have more opportunities to read and listen to the language they’re learning than to speak or write it. However, the only way to improve your speaking skills is through practice, ideally with a native speaker. This is especially true of English, because fluency in English depends to a great degree on its peculiar patterns of stress and intonation.

In these lessons, you will get the practice you need to increase your fluency and reach your other English-related goals. We will get to know one another in a relaxed conversation about ourselves and about topics that interest you. I will provide prompts to help you if you’re not sure what you feel like talking about during the lesson. I will also provide constructive feedback and guidance, based on areas in which you have the most room for improvement. At the end of the lesson, you will have access to a feedback document that contains my notes on any errors you made and ways you can improve. This document can serve as a guide for the practice and study you do on your own, outside of lessons.

This first connection will set the theme for the following courses to really get to know each other and design the absolute most successful English plan for you. What is your main focus? What inspires you? What is your preferred learning style and how do you learn best? What are your strengths and weaknesses? Do you like cats or dogs more?? =^.^= this is also to get to know each other, our personalities and lives. In this no-pressure free flow lesson, I will be able to assess your language level and provide insight into the next plan of action, as well as go over class expectations for both of us. Remember: YOU are the captain. This is for you, and I am here in any way to help and adjust to your goals. Let's get started!!
