Trial lessons are shorter, reduced-price conversation sessions designed to help us get to know each other and for you to experience my teaching style. During the lesson, I will take notes and share feedback on grammar corrections, new vocabulary, and other English points that may be useful for your future studies. The International Association of Hyperpolyglots (HYPIA) is an international body representing the unique and growing population of hyperpolyglots worldwide. We adhere to the definition of Hyperpolyglots as preferred by the general consensus to mean “a person who is fluent in six or more languages.”  However, we expand our association to include persons who are conversant in eight or more languages. Although small, our association boasts some of the most talented emerging linguists worldwide.

This job gave me direct experience preparing and instructing lessons in a group class format to ages 14-17. I learned a ton about how to effectively format lessons to students who are struggling with acquiring new content and differentiating lesson structure to meet the needs of a wide variety of levels.

I have worked as an at-home one-on-one tutor for the past three years where I help students who are struggling with their classes, or are homeschooled, or need help preparing for an upcoming standardized exam. This experience has taught me a lot about how to meet students at their specific needs and tailor lessons based on what students find most difficult and what students could use the best practice on. It also has given me practice on how to properly pace for and assess student understanding.

In order to obtain this certificate, you needed to be an outstanding student with a GPA higher than 8.00. This certificate demonstrates that I have always been a dedicated person, not only as a professional but also in the past, as a graduate student.

The fact that I have an A1 level in Portuguese allows me to better understand students whose mother tongue is Portuguese and want to learn English or Spanish. I can better understand their mistakes and point the differences between their first language and English or Spanish.

In order to obtain this certificate, you needed to listen to a variety of talks related to Pronunciation. This course was really useful to know more about the different ways to evaluate students’ pronunciation

In order to obtain this certificate, it was needed to attend the course and pass a final evaluation. This course allowed me to discover which aspects of writing tend to be the most difficult ones for students learning English as a Foreign Language

The fact that I have am already attempting to complete my A2 level in Portuguese allows me to better understand students whose mother tongue is Portuguese and want to learn English or Spanish. For this course, I had to elaborate an Action Research Plan related to ESL Teaching. It allowed me to know exactly which aspects of oral fluency I wanted to focus on for future research.

Most of the students enrolled in this Scientific Writing Course worked exclusively on research at CONICET. If you are looking to improve your speaking skills and become more fluent then conversation classes are for you! These will give you the opportunity to practise your speaking with a native teacher in a more informal setting. Although I prepare topics to discuss for each class, I encourage my students to lead the conversation and share something interesting that they might have recently come across, for example, a film, article or book etc. Please note- these classes are only suitable for adult learners.

Negotiating is a fundamental part of doing business. Making sure you get the best terms for your product or service is essential to making sure your business not just survives, but thrives.
It’s hard enough to negotiate in your own language, but then to have to negotiate in a foreign language such as English?! 

In this lesson we look at your negotiation style and techniques and how you can adopt customs and idioms that are particular to your international environment.

How to Succeed in International Business Negotiation

Business meetings are conducted differently in different parts of the world. Whether you start business right away, engage in small talk, use humor - even something like organizing and how the meetings are followed up are different depending on your country of business. 

In this lesson we look at international business meeting vocabulary, but we also look at how your style of conducting business meetings might vary, depending on where you are and with whom you are meeting.
