miscalculate or wrongly calculate
I want to describe a situation, when I hand in some data to my boss, which is wrong. Shall I say: I miscalculated or I wrongly calculated?

Yes, you miscalculated.

Miscalculate means that you made the mistake accidentally without realizing the error. Wrongly calculate also means meaning you made the mistake without realizing the error BUT you used a wrong method to calculate that you thought was right. For example, you used the ordinary average method instead of using the standard deviation method.
