How to say 'Where is... ' in Japanese?

[X] wa doko desu ka?
[X] wa doko ni arimasu ka?
Both of them are, practically, the same thing. They just have different structures. Although, the meaning is the same.
They mean: "Where is [place X]?"
In actual Japanese writing...
[X] はどこですか.
[X]はどこにありますか。
