A trial lesson for you to get to know me as a tutor and for me to learn about you as a student. We can discuss your current level, goals, and learning preferences.

In this course, I will start by teaching you the Korean alphabet (Hangul). The shapes chosen for the letters are not random, and often have deeper meanings associated with them. Apart from simply teaching you the shapes and sounds, I will add knowledge about how these letters came to be and what they represent. 

After exploring the Korean alphabet, I will walk you through basic Korean grammar based on existing grammar sources found online. If you have a preferred method or textbook that you would like to work with, I'll be happy to use those instead.

초급 / Beginners: Hangul and beyond

In this lesson we can work on any skill that you would like to improve on, use your own materials or discuss materials together. 

Examples of what we can do during this class:
- free speaking practice with or without notes/feedback
- learning Korean history, culture and philosophy
- reading practice with books, articles, song lyrics, poems, etc. 
- writing practice 
- listening and vocabulary with videos, podcasts, etc. 

Please let me know what you would like to do in class before the lesson so that I can prepare materials if needed.

In this lesson I will help you take your Korean to a professional, business level and teach you about Korean business ethics and culture. This helps prepare you for the Korean job market. This lesson can also be useful in case you do business with Korean companies and would like to know more about how to conduct business with Koreans successfully. I can also help you with your resume.

In this lesson we will practice English conversation together. We can talk about anything you like. We can talk freely or I can give you corrections and feedback.

In this lesson we can read texts, articles or books about topics that you are interested in and talk about them. We can also practice writing with small homework assignments.
