Why is Cebuano considered as a major language in the Philippines?
Cebuano speakers make up nearly a fifth of the Philippine population and are the country's second-largest ethnolinguistic group. Cebuano, also called Sugboanon or Bisayan, is a major language in the southern Philippines. It is spoken natively throughout Cebu Province, Bohol, Negros Oriental, Siquijor, and Camiguin, in much of Leyte and Mindanao, and in parts of Samar.
