Lessons can be based on Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I, Genki 1, or Marugoto A1, depending on your preferences. If you are uncomfortable with these textbooks or would prefer to use other materials, I am happy to discuss this during a trial lesson.

This course covers the phrases and words necessary for living in Japan, including conversations in emergency situations such as earthquakes and illness.

Would you like to be able to enjoy Japanese manga, anime, films, TV dramas and news shows in their original language? These are excellent materials to learn natural spoken and written Japanese. We can work through transcripts and news together or practise dictation to help you improve your understanding of the language and context.
