Lessons can be based on Minna no Nihongo Shokyu I, Genki 1, or Marugoto A1, depending on your preferences. If you are uncomfortable with these textbooks or would prefer to use other materials, I am happy to discuss this during a trial lesson.

Before you head off on your trip to Japan, why not simulate some of the situations you might encounter in this exotic country? I can teach you some useful phrases, which we can then practise in role-plays.

Would you like to be able to enjoy Japanese manga, anime, films, TV dramas and news shows in their original language? These are excellent materials to learn natural spoken and written Japanese. We can work through transcripts and news together or practise dictation to help you improve your understanding of the language and context.
