Ukrainian language trial lesson will include introductions, a discussion about student's learning goals and needs, and a presentation of my teaching style, methods and materials, as well as actual lesson (around 30-40 minutes).

A0: If you have not yet learned how to read in Ukrainian, we will start with Ukrainian letters, sounds, correct pronunciation and writing during the trial lesson. You will also learn some useful basic words and phrases.

A1-A2: If you already know the basics or have learned Ukrainian before, we will have a lesson appropriate for your level. We will learn / review some vocabulary, grammar, and practice speaking.

B1-B2: If you are at the intermediate level, you can choose either a lesson-type trial (learning vocabulary, grammar + speaking) or a conversational trial (main focus on speaking, correct pronunciation and grammar).

C1-C2: If you are at an advanced level already, I will prepare a lesson/conversation practice based on an advanced text (e.g. literary essay, corporate report, thesis abstract).

If you are a complete beginner, we will start with the letters, sounds and correct pronunciation while learning basic vocabulary and grammar. I will encourage you to speak Ukrainian from lesson one, and step by step we will be able to hold a meaningful conversation! 

Beginner learners need more structured learning, so we will use a course book which covers various topics, such as Introducing yourself, Food, Shopping, Society, Ukraine and its culture, etc, and learn vocabulary and grammar through relevant context. I will always supplement lessons with some fun and interesting activities or games to not get bored and tired with grammar. I will give you homework and additional tasks upon request.

If you are a more advanced learner, we can structure our lessons as grammar study/conversational or fully conversational, based on your needs.
