You will receive practice material and we will look at the tasks together to identify your weak points and problems so that we can resolve them.If you want to study for a period of time, we can come up with a plan of study. In these lessons, we can work on

These lessons will help you maintain your level in a relaxed way or, dealing with specific issues, so that you make the progress you want.

Let's Talk - General English

Feeling frustrated? Do you lack confidence when you speak? Do you feel unsure about how to progress in your language studies? Do you feel confused by all the resources and options available? During this course we work together to:
1. Clearly define your goals and create a programme which helps you learn more effectively, is specific to your needs and gets you the results you want.
2. Assess your current strengths and weaknesses, identify any gaps in your learning strategies and find solutions so you can make progress faster.
3. Try out different techniques and methods and reflect on how effective they are, to find the ones that work best for you, so you can teach yourself.
4. Explore what you think about language learning and work to overcome any mental blocks.

Throughout the course, I am there to support and motivate you. I am also there to make sure you get the results you want! We work together to find solutions and I provide exercises and activities that are specific to your needs and give you immediate feedback, so that through this deliberate practice you can fulfil your goals. We do all of this at your own speed.

Language Coaching

I completed my first teaching qualification, which is a Cambridge English Teaching Qualification, on my return from Mexico. It gave me essential knowledge, hands-on teaching experience and classroom confidence

This  advanced teaching qualification combined theory and practice and I developed my skills and confidence. As part of the course, I designed a syllabus and taught a range of standard and  experimental lessons which were assessed.

I began by studying Spanish and Italian and then switched to Spanish and Latin American Studies. I also took modules in French and Japanese. I spent my third year living and working in Madrid, Spain, where I worked in a secondary school.

Although much of my work is done in the classroom, for the past two years, I have taught one-to-one classes via Skype. The main focus of my classes has been IELTS preparation.

I worked for three months in an English language school, providing high quality lessons to adults of all levels.

I worked in a university, supporting students with their English language skills.

I taught groups of secondary school students of all ages English, with a focus on communicative activities.

I have taught IELTS since 2007, FCE since 2006, CAE since 2008 and CPE since 2018. 

I don't have any qualifications or certificates to confirm I have the qualifications to teach these, as no qualifications or certificates exist. 

I also worked as an invigilator for University of Southampton IELTS department for several years between 2011-2013. 

I have taught over 1,500 exam classes on Italki and my students have been very happy with my lessons. Please see the attached PDF file.
