Our first lesson will contain:

1. Finding your needs and objectives. I will send you a questionnaire before our lesson and we will spend the first minutes of our lesson discussing your answer and defining how can I best help you.
2. We will do a couple of activities to give you a good idea of how our lessons will be like.
3. We go over any questions, doubts or concerns you may have.

ℹ️ This course starts from scratch and it's perfect if you don't know any Spanish at all. If you know some basics we can also start a couple of units ahead. It'll provide you with a solid foundation of the most important skills, grammar and vocabulary of Spanish.

We follow a project-based approach, where the goal of each unit is to be able to perform certain real-life communication tasks, and throughout the activities we present the vocabulary and grammar necessary to successfully perform that task.

Grammar is presented in context, in meaning situations and with an inductive approach. You'll also learn the proper pronunciation, cultural knowledge and effective learning strategies.

🔎 Assessments
We want to make sure you have a constant sense of progress. Aside from the homework, at the end of every unit you'll perform a Mastery check to ensure the objectives have been met. On top of that, we'll do a speaking assessment every three units.

This course covers the fundamentals of descriptive and prescriptive linguistics, history of modern linguistics, grammar and linguistic systems, morpholgy, syntax, pragmatics, neurolinguistics and sociolinguistics.

This course covers everything needed to have a general vision of Spanish phonetics and phonology. It's focused on segmental phonetics  but it also covers fundamental aspects of suprasegmental phonetics. Besides the theory, it also provides practice with activities on phonetic transcriptions.
