A trial lesson 30 min include: talking about your goals and schedules, also I'll find out your level if you are not a beginner. This happens via short discussion in Finnish. You get to know me and you can ask questions. We'll discuss also about the materials and I'll explain my teaching method.
For beginners the trial lesson includes first topic to learn: greetings! How to say hello and your name =)

Lesson tailored to meet the needs and the level of the student. 

This lesson is good for you, if you are on the beginners level and you feel that in a group lesson you don't learn to pronociate / understand speech / get enough practice to speak.

Also this lesson is good if you are on the level (typically A2), where many students give up: you have learned the basic grammar and understand some spoken Finnish but you feel unable to speak, to form sentences. Tai et pysty osallistumaan keskusteluun, koska suomalaiset puhuvat puhekieltä etkä ymmärrä sitä. Tule harjoittelemaan! Tämä tunti voi olla myös YKI-testin puheosioon harjoittelua.

If you can already read quite well and also write but you feel uncomfortable to speak- so come to practice with me!

Tell me topics you are interested, so I'll give you vocabulary, model phrases or text to start with - that will hep you to speak. Also listening skills need to be practiced and this course will help you.

Topics can be for example: koti ja sisustus (home), perhe ja vapaa-aika, harrastukset (family, free time, hobbies), suomalainen kulttuuri (finnish culture), matkustaminen (travelling) or what ever interests you!

In 60 min lesson well start with vocabulary and other material concerning our topic and then will talk about it. 
In 30 min lesson first part is shorter, but I'll give you the material beforehand and especially in the A1-A2 level modelling phrases that will help you.

In regular conversation course you'll get the material and the vocabulary help allways before the lesson so you'll have time to prepare yourself.

Your goals are discussed on the trial lesson, but basicly to learn to master a language requires to learn vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening etc. Everything will be practiced! Tell me what you have learnt allready and I'll plan a good way to continue learning and I'll be teaching you so you'll learn =) 

Not only grammar but also much more! Different ways to learn vocabulary, speaking, listening, writing and reading. 

You need this course when you want to learn well: we will practice and proceed systematically, you'll have homework to do and also allways my notes. Grammar will be learnt by different kind of examples and exercises but I'll also explain it allways.

If your level is below A2, I strongly recommend to choose this course and not only writing / speaking course.

Edistyneellä tasolla käymme läpi tekstin tyyliä, sanavalintoja ja rekisteriä, eli tekstilajin sopivia piirteitä. Ehdotan korjauksia, joilla tekstitäsi tulee sujuvampaa. 

Voit tehdä säännöllisiä kirjoitusharjoituksia minun kanssani ja kirjoitustaitosi paranee! Annan kirjoitustehtävään tehtävänannon, kirjoitat tekstin kotitehtävänä ja käytämme tuntiajan tekstin korjaamiseen ja muokkaamiseen. Selitän myös kielioppia tarpeen mukaan.

30 min tunti vain, jos tekstisi on tosi lyhyt , koska tekstin korjausten selittäminen vie aikaa. Yleensä 45 min tai 60 min on parempi pituus. Voimme keskustella tästä ensimmäisellä kerralla.

Lesson tailored to meet the needs and the level of the student. Conversational lesson, topics will be news and other phenomena in today's media. Watching news regularly is a good way to increase vocabulary and talking about them is a good way to practice new learned vocabulary.

A1-A2: katsotaan selkouutiset tai luetaan uutisotsikko ja puhutaan. I'll help you with vocabulary and to understand the topics of the easy news. This is a good way to learn new vocabulary!

A2 + Voit toivoa aiheita mediasta, selkouutiset tai Yle, Helsingin Sanomat tai muu media. Opettaja etsii kiinnostuksesi mukaisia uutisia ja aiheita. Saat materiaalin tai sanaston ennen tuntia. 

B1-taso: monet opiskelijat B1-tasolla katsovat selkouutiset ja keskustelemme tunnilla edellisten päivien uutisista. Tämä on tehokas tapa kasvattaa sanavarastoa.

B2-tasolta alkaen keskustelu mediasta ja median ilmiöistä on syvempää, voimme syventyä pitkiin artikkeleihin ja perehdymme eri mediatekstien piirteisiin sekä suomalaisen median toimintaan.
