This lesson is for students who have learned English and want to practice conversation skills. We will focus on the pronunciation of words, intonation and accent, and responses to common questions. Below are some of the topics we may cover, depending on your needs:

-Common day-to-day conversation (asking for directions, ordering in a restaurant, greetings and farewell, etc.)
-Preparing for a presentation for school/work
-Practicing for a job interview
-Discussing interests and pop culture (music, books, movies, travel)

Conversation Practice

This lesson is for students looking to develop their essay to apply to colleges in the U.S. We will workshop your writing so that it flows like a native English speaker, is free of grammatical errors, and includes the key features that colleges look for in application essays. Students are welcome to book this workshop no matter where you are in the process:

-If you have already written an essay, we will spend the lesson reviewing and editing your work
-If you have a prompt question but have not started writing yet, we will outline, draft, and edit your essay for the question
-If you are at the very beginning of the process, we will have you write a general personal statement suitable for most college essays

Please reach out to me if you have another piece of writing that you think is a good fit for this workshop, such as a cover letter for a job application in the U.S. Depending on where you are in the writing process, you should have a finished and professional piece of writing in 1-3 lessons.

College Essay Workshop

This lesson is for students who have proficiency in English and are looking to expand their vocabulary and learn more complex language. We will begin by assessing your current level of language explore the areas that you would like to improve on. We will work on increasing your level of English by reading classic literature, exploring American pop culture, and advanced word games.
