This program consists of nine levels ranging from “beginner” to “advanced” and corresponds to a standard three-year university-level series of courses using a developed textbooks.
I can adjust the private courses (textbooks etc.) to fit your requirements.

Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)

The Growing Participator Approach to studying languages focuses not on the individual “learner” and his or her acquisition of vocabulary and grammar alone, but instead focuses on the ability to interact and participate in an ethno-linguistic community.  Advocates of this approach to language study point to the inherently social nature of man and the crucial role that language plays in social interaction: listening in order to understand and speaking so as to be understood.

Thus, according to the GPA, the focus in acquiring a new language must be on the student’s ability to increasingly interact socially as a “growing participator”.  In general, one does this, not by memorizing sentences that could never be produced by oneself, but by, in stages, becoming intimately familiar with what speakers of the language say, and then trying to talk as they do, with support as needed.
The Growing Participator Approach consists of six distinct phases.  During the very first phase, the student (“growing participator”) and instructor (“nurturer”) interact about visible and present things, enabling immediate communication and allowing the student to become familiar with hundreds of new words.  Later phases progressively shift the content of communication to more abstract elements, initially through the help of pictures, drawings, and stories.

Beginner Low
The learner will acquire basic knowledge of Yemeni Arabic  such as understanding everyday expressions, and phrases in the house, with friends,  and in the market.  But this knowledge is limited.

Beginner High
The learner will be familiar with frequently used face to face Yemeni expressions, and conversations on daily routine matters, but the content is limited and supported by situational context.  He can ask and answer questions, understands main ideas of the non-complex conversations, and will be able to write down simple notes and messages from the exchanges learnt but with mistakes.

Intermediate Low
Based on the knowledge he has acquired, the learner can participate in a variety of uncomplicated communicative tasks in the daily simple conversations with locals on several topics.  S/he acquires  several Yemeni expressions and proverbs and attempts to use them in the proper situations.

Intermediate High
The learner can handle a variety of complicated communicative tasks with locals on several topics, but still with mistakes.  S/he will be able to use properly the expressions and sayings from Yemen culture.

Advanced
The learner can understand longer conversations on several factual and fictional topics from Yemen culture, and s/he will recognize implicit meaning.  S/he can understand with ease virtually everything heard round him from locals.  At this stage the learner will be introduced to Yemeni stories, songs, and jokes.
