This prepares you to pass the Sproochentest, the exam for Luxembourgish citizenship, with confidence and as efficiently as possible. We start at any level.

Choose this option also if you want to learn the language from zero but don't intend to pass the exam. The content of the courses is the same as for the test prep program for the first 6-8 sessions.

Purchase of a package or 10 or more sessions includes a full Sproochentest book and audio material to review each lesson.

The Program (includes Sproochentest Preparation)

I will teach you the three official languages of Luxembourg: French, German and Luxembourgish. We explore the similarities between the languages on our way to reaching a working proficiency in them, a major advantage for anyone living or working in the country.

The content, including which language(s) to prioritize, can be customized to the needs of the student. Topics will focus on Luxembourgish current events and history. We will also read some accessible bits of literature.

These lessons are ideal if you have passed the Sproochentest and want a quick entry point into the two big Western European languages that uses what you already know. Or if you work in Luxembourg and want to understand what you hear around you, including what your children are learning at school.

The class will be taught primarily in the three languages above. Please book only if you are able to follow a simple conversation in Luxembourgish. Sproochentest-level is sufficient.

Languages of Luxembourg

Mir schwätzen einfach Lëtzebuergesch. Ech bréngen allkéiers en Artikel oder en Theema fir ze beschwätzen, mee bereede soss näischt vir. 

Bucht dës Lektioune wgl. nëmmen, wann Dir bereet sidd, e Gespréich mat mir ze féieren, wou ech just Lëtzebuergesch schwätzen. Crosstalk (d. h., ech schwätze Lëtzebuergesch an Dir äntwert op Englesch, Däitsch, Franséisch oder Portugiesesch) ass och méiglech.


A pure conversation class. I will provide an article or topic to get the conversation started each lesson, but otherwise will not prepare. 

Please book only if you are comfortable having a conversation where I only speak to you in Luxembourgish. We can do crosstalk (i.e. I speak Luxembourgish and you answer in English, German, French or Portuguese) as well.
