Want to start speaking Finnish? It might not be easy but it can be fun and rewarding :) 
Join my Basics lessons and you will see results soon as you will be communicating in Finnish immediately. 
You will learn words and phrases to manage in social situations like at work, in a supermarket, at the gym, chatting with neighbours, etc. 

The lessons will include recognizing and responding to phrases, words, questions. 
We will also go over understanding cultural norms and etiquette.

I specialise in getting beginner students to be confident in speaking and communicating in Finnish. My lessons aim to be both fun and rewarding. 

Understanding essential grammar to support communication and interaction will be explained accordingly.

Homework is included in the lessons, whether you have a study book or not, I will provide materials.

Basics: Start Communicating in Finnish Immediately

Do you already know your Finnish basics and want to advance in your language abilities? Maybe you want to socialize with more confidence and ability; perhaps you want to apply for a job where you need to speak fluent Finnish; or you're aiming to pass a language test, eg. "YKI testi"? If yes, this course is for you.

In the Essential Finnish course you will understand more complex structures (ie. conditional case; conjugate numbers; comparative) of the Finnish language. This includes grammar, phrases, idioms, fluency in conversation.

Together with you I will assess your current Finnish level during the first lessons and suggest what needs focusing on. Then we will start building on your current knowledge.

I customize every single lesson with each of my students; there are no curriculums. That way you can truly learn efficiently as you focus on what you actually need on each step.  I will help setting a pace that benefits you and monitor your progress together with you.

Homework is included in the lessons, whether you have a study book or not, I will provide materials.

Essential Finnish, Intermediate to Advanced

For those who have a small group of fellow students (2-6 people) ready to start studying. 
If you want to have group lessons in either conversation, studying grammar or perhaps preparing for the YKI test, I offer an inexpensive group lesson option.
Lessons will be held on Zoom or Teams.

During these conversation lessons we will discuss different topics. If you don't know what you'd like to talk about, the teacher will help.
We will focus on speaking only, no grammar.
Conversation lessons do not include homework.

We focus on speaking only Finnish by using picture books. Teacher will help you talk about different topics and to communicate with more self-confidence.
