In this first trial lesson I would suggest we get to know each other, check your language level and how you like to learn best. Depending on your level, we will see about getting you speaking about yourself, sharing your hobbies and goals and maybe what kind of learning you have done so far. I've been teaching online for 2 years and in schools since 2016. I did my Montessori teacher training back in 1996. I have been raising kids since 1993. I've supported kids and adults with GCSEs and A1. Business English available.

Friendly and empathetic learning designed around student needs and learning type: auditory, visual, kinesthetic or digital (a combination of all three types of learning styles). We will focus on speaking and self expression but also on comprehension, both verbal and written.

German conversation and language acquisition for adults and younger learners

At level B we are conversing with more fluidity, we are refining our language skills and constantly expanding our vocabulary. We can begin to have discussions on a variety of topics, express our views and thoughts and begin exploring an expanded scope of the use of tenses. We can use dedicated materials such as books we read together, movies or series we watch and discuss. Optional written material to support comprehension and expression. If we haven't worked together yet, we will begin by determining the student's needs and their learning style. I offer friendly and empathetic language tutoring.

German conversation, adapting to German culture, everyday living for parents, professionals and students

Level C language classes might be focussed on a specific topic or project either for work or school. Where at Level B we have read light fiction, at Level C we may be reading textbooks, non-fiction or philosophical works or classics. That said, classes will be adapted entirely to the student's goals and aims and not only how they learn best, but will be geared towards their interests. Language acquisition might be necessary for a variety of reasons, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun and entertaining. All levels begin with the student and teacher getting to know each other, discussing what the student's language aims are and what their goals are in general. At Level C we will continue enhancing expression and language flexibility.

German conversation, language refinement, cultural-linguistic exploration

Beginning English for those with little or no proficiency, conversation and language acquisition for adults and younger learners

At this level we are covering topics more in-depth and having detailed discussions. We might explore creative writing or even writing for professional or academic purposes.
