Class description

Do you sometimes wonder when to link words in French — and when not to? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use liaisons to make your French sound smoother, more natural, and easier to understand. We’ll start with a clear explanation of what liaison is and why it matters in spoken French. Then, through short listening and speaking activities, you’ll discover the main rules: when the liaison is mandatory, optional, or forbidden. You’ll finish with a short, fun test to help you memorize the rules and practice using them in realistic examples. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to recognize and use liaisons with more confidence. You’ll also improve your rhythm and fluency when speaking — a key step toward sounding more like a native speaker! This workshop is designed for learners around level A2, but students from upper A1 to B1 are welcome. A good understanding of basic grammar and vocabulary will help you make the most of it. Come join us and make your French flow naturally — one liaison at a time!

After this class, you’ll have learned

(1) Pronunciation accuracy – learning to produce liaisons correctly and naturally when speaking. (2) Listening comprehension – recognizing liaisons in authentic spoken French and understanding connected speech more easily. (3) Grammar awareness – identifying the grammatical links that trigger liaisons (articles, adjectives, pronouns, etc.). (4) Memory and automatization – memorizing the main rules and applying them quickly during conversation through guided practice. (5) Oral fluency and confidence – speaking with smoother rhythm and greater self-assurance in everyday interactions.
