Class description

In this class, we will discuss: - the qualities required in the workplace - the concept of success -the use of connectors when expressing opinions and arguments. We will start with a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) where we look at high-level nouns and adjectives to describe the qualities needed in different sectors, the areas we need to improve in and our work opportunities in the future. Then we will move on to the grammar section where we will study connectors (due to, owing to, etc.) to explain trends and to give reasons. Afterwards, we will end with a discussion of what qualities are needed to be successful in business, consolidating on the previous vocabulary and grammar sections

After this class, you’ll have learned

VOCABULARY: high-level adjectives and nouns related to qualities required in the workplace. GRAMMAR: connectors which provide more formality and professionalism when explaining your opinions FLUENCY: role plays to put all the theory into practice as we put ourselves into different everyday (and not so everyday) contexts where we have to defend our point of view
