Class description

An in-depth class which will help you to efficiently describe data (graphs, pie charts, etc) and give explanations about the results. You will learn how to use the passive voice correctly, as well as build on your analytical vocabulary. We will start with a review of the passive voice with some examples to help understanding. We will then learn synonyms for the word "say" to make your presentation more analytical and professional. Afterwards we will revise verbs to explain upward and downward trends. We will then put all these disciplines together to create mini-presentations to explain current-day phenomena and analyse the causes and results.

After this class, you’ll have learned

GRAMMAR: you will learn how to effectively use the advanced passive voice when presenting data VOCABULARY: you will increase your analytical vocabulary with synonyms of the words "say", "go up" and "go down" SPEAKING: you will create your own mini-presentations practising the vocabulary and grammar learnt in the class.
