Class description

関西弁(かんさいべん) is the dialect spoken in the Kansai region such as Osaka, Kyoto Nara or Kobe. Kansai is very popular destination for travel but you will be realized people speak differently when you visit Kansai region. Also you will see many characters who speak Kansai dialect in Japanese drama, movies or anime. This is a fun and relaxed Kansai dialect class for B1 and above level students who : ・want to know about the difference between standard Japanese and Kansai dialect ・want to communicate with people in Kansai dialect when travelling in Kansai region ・want to understand what Kansai people or Kansai characters talking ・want to know about Kansai culture or people from the language I was born and raised in Osaka. I can show you native 関西弁 pronounciation and teach you the difference between standard Japanese and Kansai dialect grammatically. In Kansai region, we use some different vocablaries, grammar and pronouciation. For examle, 「おもろい」 in the title means 「おもしろい」in Kansai dialect. *I will explain Kansai dialect based on standard Japanese vocab and grammar so please be sure your level is B1 or above. If you are unsure of your level or have questions, please contact me before booking a class.* Lesson Structure: - Ice break - Get to know about Kansai dialect - Do some exercise - Talk in Kansai dialect (*) *Even if you cannot speak Kansai dialect, that's no problem! The main goal is to understand Kansai dialect and keep a conversation flowing :)
