Listening is a challenging skill; it is not easy to understand something that contains new words or complicated structures. Practice is essential and so is developing listening strategies. Speaking correctly also requires practice, and that is why I’ve designed this class that will help you enhance both skills. Each class is different and is topic-based. We will follow (roughly) this structure: ✔ Getting to know each other. Let’s talk about where you are, what you do, and answer an icebreaker question. ✔ Topic presentation: oral discussion, vocabulary preparation. We might see pictures, read quotations, read a short paragraph, or watch a short video about the class’s topic, to practice speaking and prepare for the listening. I will make notes on mistakes, useful vocabulary, etc. that I will send you after the lesson. ✔ Listening exercise/s. Listen twice to complete an activity. We will use material recommended for DELE (degree of Spanish as a foreign language) exams to have a proficiency standard. ✔ Activity check. ✔ Conversation about the content of the audio. Optional: reading the transcript. ✔ After the lesson: receive the audio, transcription, and class notes. . 💥 How do you know if this is the right level for you?
