Class description

This group class is for English students over the age of 18 at a B1 Intermediate level, who want to have a friendly chat with a tutor and other students from around the world. You can describe your experiences of water sports, fishing and boats, discuss related environmental issues and imagine what you would do if you were left on a desert island. I will send a short article before the class, which we can read and discuss together. After this class, you’ll have learned

This lesson will help you to improve your speaking, listening and reading skills. The class materials will introduce you to useful vocabulary connected with everyday life. You will practice pronouncing and recognizing the new words in conversation with other students. This will give you the opportunity to find out about different cultures in a relaxed atmosphere.

Meet your teacher

Helen Low

I can relate to the practical, everyday challenges of using a foreign language, since I studied Russian at University and spent a year living in Russia, where I first started teaching English. I'm also interested in history and literature, and enjoy the opportunity to explore language and culture with my students.
