Class description

Micro-Italian: Watch, Think, Talk (A2) is a group conversation session designed for A2-level students who want to keep their Italian active even with limited time available. In just 45 minutes, the group will watch a short video (around 5-8 minutes) together, on a different topic each time, and then discuss it: What did you understand? What do you think? Has anything similar ever happened to you? Guided by the teacher, students share their ideas, experiences, and opinions, practicing how to retrieve information from listening and reuse it in a natural, spontaneous conversation. This isn't a traditional lesson with a fixed grammatical progression — it's a light, informal, yet effective language workout, perfect for those who want to keep their Italian active between other commitments, and for those who want to push past shyness about speaking in a group. Each session with the title "Micro-Italian: Watch, Think, Talk" covers a different topic and is published individually by the teacher: students can book a single standalone session or sign up for multiple sessions over time, depending on availability.

After this class, you’ll have learned

By the end of the session, students will be able to: - Understand the main information in a short authentic Italian video (active listening). - Recognize and retrieve specific information from the video to reuse it in the discussion. - Express personal opinions and experiences related to the topic covered, using structures appropriate to the A2 level (e.g., I like / I don't like, in my opinion, I think that, something happened to me where...). - Expand their speech with the teacher's help, learning to connect simple sentences into a more elaborate narrative. - Participate actively in a group conversation, listening and responding to other students' contributions. - Build confidence and fluency in speaking spontaneously in Italian, in an informal, low-pressure setting.
