Class description

Description: What is a stereotype about food in your culture, and is it true? What is a food that other people seem to love but you don’t understand why? What is a food that you can’t live without? Join the teacher for a discussion that addresses these questions and more! This lesson part of a series is about cultural exchange, in which students will share pictures and stories with an international group of students to practice English conversation. In this class you will communicate with other learners, asking questions and commenting on their responses. Together, you will make comparisons between different cultures using structures and vocabulary highlighted at the beginning of the lesson.

After this class, you’ll have learned

Learning Outcomes: In addition to improving interpersonal communication while analyzing culture and making comparisons, this lesson highlights the uses of the words just, already and yet in British and American English. The vocabulary terms we will focus on are: savory, crunchy, slimy, disgusting, mouth-watering, smelly, to boil, to fry, to bake, an acquired taste.
