This coarse is for children with only a basic knowledge of English (example; Hello, my name is _______. I am __ years old.). We will explore the wonders of winter. Students will learn basic winter vocabulary, and begin using simple sentences to speak about winter and the different things they see. Students will learn and use vocabulary for winter clothing. They will use the verbs 'go' and 'play' to discuss the different winter activities that people all over the world enjoy. Finally, we will look at animals that enjoy the cold weather, see how they adapt and compare them to people and how we adapt. Through different activities, children will be encouraged to use their new vocabulary and speak with their classmates. We will play games that get everyone involved, and keep everyone smiling. After learning our new vocabulary, and exploring different activities that get my students speaking, we will enter a wonderful winter wonderland.
