Class description

This is another class in the series revolving around literature, which has shaped our current world through well-known authors. This class is intended for those who wish to have deeper philosophical discussions surrounding literary elements, themes, and connections to both past and present times. Through our exploration, we'll come to understand the world of literature while gaining valuable fluency. All students are welcome, but B2 - C2 students will enjoy the class the most for complex reasoning, vocabulary usage, and applying their hard-won skills in English. This course is taught as I would teach at my university with open discussion (round tabling) and scaffolding upon history and content.

After this class, you’ll have learned

Students will learn to appreciate Wilde's work in the context of modern society. Students will use new vocabulary, critical thinking skills, and make connections to the discussion questions. Students will be able to discuss literary themes and the historical context surrounding the author's work.
