Class description

Storytelling is a natural way to practice speaking using descriptive language. This advanced-level game develops English skills we need every day. The game rules are as follows: 1. Listen to the scenario 2. Choose three objects from the slide 3. Tell a story about how you would survive the situation using those three objects. The scenarios and vocabulary can be reviewed before the game begins. Students will evaluate each other based on ‘likability’ so logical stories may not get the highest score. Creativity is encouraged!

After this class, you’ll have learned

Vivid verbs and descriptive adjectives make stories interesting. Students will learn more about how to use exact speech to help the listener understand and feel what is happening in the story. Each student will receive feedback from the teacher along with suggestions on how to improve their English speaking fluency.
