If you also happen to seek more opportunities to speak Mandarin Chinese, getting yourselves acquainted with the use of practical and colloquial expressions to order meals in real life situations, THIS LESSON IS FOR YOU! Lesson Breakdown: 1-10 minutes: Introduction and Icebreakers Objective: Get to know each other and set a positive tone for the course. Welcome and Introductions Brief self-introductions: Name, location, hobbies, and something interesting about themselves. 11-30 minutes: Culture and Vocabulary Building Objective: Learn the most iconic dish and its recipe in Mandarin Learn words and phrases about ordering food and describing tastes in Mandarin Chinese 31-50 minutes: Activity Objective: Break participants into pairs or small groups to plan an imaginary dialogue. They present it to the class using newly learned vocabulary. 51-60 minutes: Discussion and Feedback Objective: Share personal experience and feedback and class wrap up
