Class description

Are you a psychopath? If you are asking yourself that question then it means you are probably not! Well done you! Join us as we read this fascinating book which the author describes as ‘a journey into the madness industry’. Jon Ronson has been described as ‘one of the finest comedy writers working today’ and his unique writing style will keep you hooked from beginning to end. The course lasts for 6 weeks, one lesson per week. Each week you will read a bit of the book BEFORE the lesson. Then, in our lesson we will meet to discuss what we have read. The course includes a lot of extra materials - usually YouTube videos - that will help give you a wider understanding of the points mentioned in the book. The course is suitable for strong B2 level students and above. The level of English in the book is actually quite simple but you need to read roughly 50-60 pages per week so it requires a reasonable level of commitment. ***IMPORTANT - It is necessary to buy or download your own copy of the book and you will be asked to read a few chapters each week BEFORE the lesson*** Reading Schedule: You will need to read the following chapters before each class: Class 1: The Missing Part of the Puzzle Revealed Class 2: The Man Who Faked Madness & Psychopaths Dream in Black and White Class 3: The Psychopath Test & Toto Class 4: Night of the Living Dead & The Right Sort of Madness Class 5: The Madness of David Shayler & Aiming a Bit High Class 6: The Avoidable Death of Rebecca Riley & Good Luck
