Class description

This group class is for English students over the age of 18 at an upper-intermediate level, who want to have a lively chat with a tutor and other students from around the world in a relaxed atmosphere. You can respond to a variety of challenging dilemmas which people often meet in their working, family and social lives. Each of these will include a useful phrasal verb. You can suggest suitable advice and share any similar circumstances which you have experienced. After this class, you’ll have learned

This lesson will help you to improve your language skills through speaking and listening activities. The class materials will help you to understand the topic, then you can practice what you have learned in conversation with other students. I can relate to the practical, everyday challenges of using a foreign language, since I studied Russian at University and spent a year living in Russia, where I first started teaching English. I'm also interested in history and literature, and enjoy the opportunity to explore language and culture with my students.
