Class description

This lesson takes a look at the country of Japan. Learners will be given the opportunity to learn all about Japan with sections focusing on geography, cuisine and history. Within the lesson, students will learn new vocabulary and then personalise it by talking about Japan and similarities or differences with their own countries. The worksheet also provides opportunities for speaking practice. This group lesson is for adult students (B2-C2) who want to speak about a specific topic with a professional teacher and other students from around the world! We will start by doing a warm-up game, work in pairs, and discuss the chosen topic. Please note: This group class is for students between the levels of B2-C2. If you are unsure of your level or have questions, please contact me before booking the group class.

After this class, you’ll have learned

You will be required to watch the video below before the group lesson starts: https://www.linguahouse.com/en-GB/esl-lesson-plans/general-english/visiting-japan/videoplayer/introducing-japan_be The goal of each lesson is to discuss a specific topic, expand vocabulary, and improve the student's confidence as an English speaker in a relaxed and fun environment. Since this is a conversation class, I encourage each student to speak openly with other students, ask questions and share their opinions! Due to this being a group lesson, students will not be corrected individually. I will send answer sheets at the end of the lesson so you can review the material covered.
